Sample Information for Submission

1µl of RNA or DNA is loaded on the bioanalyzer. Supply a minimum of 2-3 µl. RNA samples are heat denatured before loading.

How well the lower concentrations work depends on several factors including the broadness of the peaks and number of bands and how accurately the concentration was determined. The Pico chip is much more sensitive to contaminants than the Nano chip.

Sample Dropoff

  • Submit samples online.
  • Make sure sample names or numbers on tubes match the order names or sample ID numbers.
  • Supply samples in clearly marked 0.2 or 0.5 ml tubes
  • Bring your samples to ALS 3012. 
  • Put your samples in one of our submission boxes with a slip of paper containing your name, your PI's name, date and Order ID#. 
  • Samples go in our -80°C freezer in the first bay on the second shelf from the top. 
  • For timely processing, let us know your samples have arrived.

Select Service Type

We have two service options for running your samples: Regular and Premium.

Regular – samples run by a lab technician as time permits.  May be a day or two before results are available.

Premium – Samples run within 24 hours by lab technician. If samples can’t be run in timely manner rate will be switched to Regular.
